Bozeman, Montana based artist, Kara Haygarth, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design, New York. She was a fashion designer for twelve years, designing for companies such as Madewell, Abercrombie & Fitch and DKNY Jeans. She relocated to Montana in 2019, where she began cultivating creative endeavors in fine art, illustration and surface pattern design.

 

With both traditional and modern mediums, Kara creates graphic, colorful works with a charming sense of whimsical curiosity. She draws inspiration from her natural surroundings, traditional folk art, and her own day dreams.  Her work celebrates themes of renewal, intuition and connection to nature.
