Raised in the Pacific Northwest, just outside Corvallis, Oregon, Kara has spent much of her life pursuing visual arts and aesthetic design. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design in New York, majoring in Fashion Design. She worked as a designer in the apparel industry for twelve years before deciding it was time to explore different passions. After leaving New York she eventually settled in Bozeman, Montana where she now works from her home studio creating contemporary, charming prints and paintings of wildlife and other various subjects of curiosity. Her primary mediums are linocut printing and gouache paint.
