Bozeman, Montana based artist, Kara Haygarth, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design, New York. She was a fashion designer for twelve years, designing for companies such as Madewell, Abercrombie & Fitch and DKNY. She relocated to Montana in 2019, where she began cultivating creative endeavors in fine art, illustration and surface pattern design.

 

With traditional and modern mediums, Kara creates works with a charming sense of whimsical curiosity. Most often inspired by Montana wildlife and flora, but also travel, folk art and day dreams, her work celebrates themes of renewal, intuition and connection to nature.
